Sledgehammer Becomes Third COD Developer

Activision has announced that Sledgehammer will join Treyarch and Infinity Ward as a Call of Duty developer.

This of course allows each team to spend 3 years on their next game, rather than 2 – something which can only be a good thing for future projects.

While recent COD games haven’t been all that stunning (I loved BLOPS2, mind), I still enjoy coming back to the series each year, so I’m really hoping this extra development time will result in more ambitious releases.
