Master Chief Collection For Xbox One

Microsoft will release Halo: The Master Chief collection for Xbox One later this year.

Engadget claims Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 will be repackaged in high definition, re-mastered form on Xbox One ahead of the release of Halo 5: Guardians in 2015. Sadly ODST or Reach won’t be included 😦 (No Chief, no remake)

A NeoGAF poster also claims that this is true. The poster said Halo 2 Anniversary Edition would launch in two forms: a Collector’s Edition with Halo 5 beta access and a collection, which includes all previous Chief games as Xbox One ports.

That’s a lot of Halo to play 🙂

Won’t be too long to wait now to see if this rumour is true or false.

  1. I’m a little sceptical of this to be honest. Yes, a Halo 2 remake makes a lot of sense given what a great job they did of Halo1 (apart from the MP of course…) but unless they have given Halo 3 and 4 the same level of care instead of just increasing the resolution I don’t really see the point.
