Microsoft E3 Conference Blowout

News, news, news. There was so much of it given yesterday from Microsoft.

Microsoft promised games and they delivered. 90 minutes worth. I have compiled all the videos and big announcements in one post to make it easier.

Please let me know If I have missed any.

Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare

Watch gameplay from the “Induction” campaign level, which follows a group of US Marines as they drop into the battle lines of Seoul, South Korea.

Forza Horizon 2

Forza Horizon 2 is an action-packed, open-world driving game filled with beautiful vistas, amazing music and the world’s greatest cars, including the video game premiere of the Lamborghini Huracán.

2K and Turtle Rock Studios debuted the first gameplay video for their upcoming sci-fi themed, co-operative first-person shooter, Evolve.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity

Find playing the part of a deadly Assassin a little too solitary? This is the game for you. Staged during the French Revolution, Assassin’s Creed: Unity lets you team up with three friends for co-op liberation activities.

Dragon Age: Inquisition

Giant reptiles, spiders and fantasy landscapes are coming in Dragon Age: Inquisition. Microsoft showed off a gorgeous trailer teasing plenty of environments, tons of detail and, of course, dragons. Oh, and its DLC is hitting the Xbox first, naturally.

Sunset Overdrive

At Microsoft’s E3 2014 conference today, the developer confirmed the release date alongside rumours for an 8-player online co-op mode called “Chaos Mode”.

Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha

An all new four-player co-op mode for Dead Rising 3. Play as classic Dead Rising heroes or cosplay as your favourite Capcom characters to use their signature attacks and super moves to save the city. Compete for the top score, unlock new characters and fight for survival in Capcom style! Available Now!

Fable Legends

Miss the land of Albion? Don’t fret: It’s back. The franchise’s latest adventure features a multiplayer bent, highly stylized visuals and even the ability to play as the villain (in an isometric view, no less!) The game’s multiplayer beta launches this fall: Check out to sign up.

Project Spark

Project Spark unlocks imagination and creativity like never before. It’s a powerful gaming destination where players create and creators play. Did I mention Conker will make an appearance.

Ori and the Blind Forest

Ori and the Blind Forest is an action-adventure platformer that combines deep exploratory gameplay with emotional storytelling.
Join Ori to solve the mysteries of a dying forest while escaping the evil clutches of Kuro, the dark owl.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Halo: The Master Chief Collection remasters the first four Halo games, but still keeps each game plugging along on their original engines. Meaning that you can get the exact same experience you had when each title was new, but with better graphics. It also has over 100 multiplayer maps and, wouldn’t you know, exclusive access to Halo 5’s multiplayer beta.

Developed by Playdead, the guys who made Limbo. This is the company’s upcoming 2.5D puzzle platformer

Rise of the Tomb Raider

Lara has returned! The Rise of Tomb Raider will continue on from the re-boot of the series. And it looks like she has had a hard time adjusting.

The Witcher III: Wild Hunt

Geralt is back, and now he’s wandering through a huge, open landscape. Oh, and taking down huge mythical creatures, of course. This demo was overloaded with action.

Phantom Dust

A Classic Xbox game returns! Check out the debut trailer for Phantom Dust.

Tom Clancy’s The Division

Check out Xbox One gameplay from Tom Clancy’s The Division. Showing more of the stunning graphics and co-op gameplay from Ubisoft’s phenomenal-looking post-apocalyptic New York City.

The next great adventure from critically-acclaimed developer PlatinumGames and renowned Game Director Hideki Kamiya, Scalebound transports you to a distant, hostile world. You’ll come face to face with fearsome creatures, including a formidable dragon

Crackdown’s groundbreaking open world returns in a stunning, completely new experience for Xbox One.

I think that is everything 🙂

  1. A solid 90 minutes from Microsoft (certainly more interesting than a large chunk of the Sony conference). Not sure how many of these games I’d buy (or indeed how many would convince me to buy an X1 if I didn’t already have one) but COD was a pleasant surprise, as was the Chief Collection. Certainly something there for everyone.
