First RE Revelations 2 Gameplay

From the Tokyo Game Show, the first gameplay of Resident Evil Revelations 2 has been shown off.

While I’m expecting a proper, official trailer to pop up shortly, someone kindly recorded a few minutes of the game in action from a demo booth at the show.

There isn’t a huge amount to see in a 2 minute video of course but we now know you can switch between Claire and Moira on the fly, with Moira being used to search out items using her torch (similar to the scanner in Rev1) and open doors with a crowbar. Claire on the other hand seems to be the attacker of the group, wielding a shotgun in this brief demo.

A lot of people watching this video will probably just shrug their shoulders and think “meh, looks alright” but I am really excited to get my hands on this game. I love the idea of it being a cheaper, episodic title and I’m just really pleased to see Claire back in action. Its been far too long.

Revelations 2 launches early next year alongside the Resident Evil 1 remake.

More RE Revelations 2 Details

The information is coming in thick and fast for Resident Evil Revelations 2.

RE

Following the episodic approach of its predecessor, Revelations 2 will begin as a series of four weekly downloads, each priced at $6 or $25 for the set. Once all four episodes have been released a disk-based version will be able if you so wish.

Personally I quite like this idea. Back on the PS3 I really enjoyed when Siren Blood Curse did this as it kept my excitement levels up. As someone who is slowly moving over to digital gaming, I like the idea of getting my hands on the game a few weeks early 🙂
