With the release of the Master Chief Collection (copy should be arriving in the post today), 343 have released some multiplayer footage of the upcoming Halo 5.
Opinions will no doubt be mixed on this one. It looks great to me but it does seem similar to Halo 4, which was criticised for being a little too COD-like.
Remember, the Halo 5 beta test will be open for owners of the Chief Collection during the Christmas break. See you on the battlefield!

Halo The Master Chief Collection Launch Trailer takes you into the definitive Halo experience coming November 11, 2014.
The Master Chief Collection features a remastered Halo 2: Anniversary, along with Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo: Nightfall (a new digital series), and access to the Halo 5: Guardians Multiplayer Beta.
Honoring the iconic hero and his epic journey, the Master Chief’s entire story is brought together as The Master Chief Collection, a collection of all four Halo games, including the remastered Halo 2: Anniversary and over 100 multiplayer maps, all at Xbox One visual fidelity and 60 fps.
343 have announced that the 20GB patch on launch will include another 50 achievements!!
That’s right. To go with the already 400 there will be an added 50 along with an extra 500 gamer score.
So that is now 450 achievements for 4500 gamer score. Don’t expect this game to be completed quickly upon releases next week.
The new achievements are all multiplayer focused. Aiming mostly at Halo CE and Halo 2 But there is one for each game asking you to complete each campaign in under 3 hours. (gulp)
Here is what the official Halo blog had to say:
“As you know, Halo: The Master Chief Collection ships with 400 achievements worth 4000 gamerscore. However, your journey through Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an on-going one, and as part of our launch content update, we will be rolling out another 50 achievements worth 500 gamerscore. For this round of achievements, we wanted to focus on community and the new multiplayer features being offered by the new maps and modes within Halo 2: Anniversary multiplayer.”
