Bioware On Mass Effect Trilogy Re-make

BioWare Edmonton and Montreal boss Aaryn Flynn has discussed the possibility of a re-mastered Mass Effect Trilogy, and polled fans on what features they would want included

“The thing I’d love to hear from people is what you’d like to have in such an experience. For me (personal opinion, and based on what people have told me many times before):
– 1080p
– 60 fps
– High res textures, especially on ME1
– Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
– All the DLC
– “Seamless experience” – the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.
Agree / disagree? What else?
Bear in mind this is a “wish list” at this point… ”

All I can say is… Yes please to all that! 🙂

  1. Arrrrgh! Enough with these bloody remakes! I get why RE is being re-released as that was Nintendo published until now so anyone without a GameCube couldn’t play it, but releasing all these old games feels like a cash grab and a complete waste of time 😡

    • I will buy it 😉

      • Lol, I’m sure you will, as well plenty of others, but I’m hoping developers move onto new stuff soon instead of all these remakes. These consoles are 12 months old almost and there still isn’t a single “must have” game that isn’t available on other PS3/360 as well. That really needs to change.

      • I know. But so far new IPs have been way too overhyped for their own good and for that have failed. Batman AK will be big. What about The Last Guardian? Nah LOL

      • The silly thing is these next-gen games, for me at least, don’t need to be big and impressive, just enjoyable and longer than a few hours. It was great to play a new Dead Rising when the X1 launched but it was only a few hours long unless you focused on the boring side stuff. Likewise Ryse, Infamous, Forza and Titanfall were all painfully lacking in content.

I remember playing the original Timesplitters on PS2 for hundreds of hours because there was just so much to do. Its a shame neither next-gen console has a game like that yet and they won’t if devs keep focusing on re-making 360/PS3 games.

      • Oh so you wouldn’t say no to a re-make of Timesplitters 2 then.

      • I want to see Timesplitters make a return but it would need a complete overhaul for it to be enjoyable these days. Sadly it has not aged well, at all 😦
